About LX Labs

We exist because learning in local government deserves better.

LX Labs is a boutique learning design studio for councils and the public sector. We design capability programs, eLearning, blended learning and enablement for organisations navigating change, digital transformation and workforce development.

We are not a generalist agency. We do not work across every sector and then adapt generic solutions to fit. We work with councils and public sector organisations because we understand the environment they operate in, and that focus makes the work stronger.

Every project we take on is bespoke, evidence informed and built around the real conditions your people work in. Not the ideal version of your organisation. The actual one.

How We Work

A process built for the real world, not the ideal one.

Every LX Labs project follows the ADDIE model: Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. Here is what that looks like in practice.

Analyse

We start with the problem, not the solution.

Before anything gets built, we get clear on what is actually going on. Where are the capability gaps? What is changing? What does success look like? Good discovery saves time, money and the frustration of building the wrong thing.

Design

We design for real people, not ideal learners.

Once we understand the problem, we design the solution around your actual context. The structure, methodology, learner experience and objectives are all shaped by how your people work in practice.

Develop

We build with your stakeholders, not just for them.

We bring your team through the development process so feedback shapes the work as it is built, not after it is finished. That means fewer surprises, smoother sign off and a final product your organisation can actually stand behind.

Implement

We set your people up to deliver it well.

A strong program still needs a strong rollout. We make sure facilitators are equipped, leaders are briefed and implementation is set up to support engagement, readiness and adoption.

Evaluate

We measure change, not just completion.

The question is not whether people finished the training. It is whether anything changed. We build evaluation into our work so you can understand what landed, what did not, and what needs to happen next.

Let’s talk about your council’s learning needs.

Whether you have a change program underway, a capability gap worth solving, or simply want to explore what better learning design could look like in your organisation, we would love to hear from you.
